According to the consensus of the Im\u0101ms of Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jam\u0101&#8217;ah, it is evident that a Jinn may possess a human, as All\u0101h (SWT) says (interpretation of the meaning): \u201cThose who eat rib\u0101 [usury] will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except like the standing of a person beaten by shayt\u0101n leading him to insanity.\u201d (Qur\u2019\u0101n, 2:275). Jinn possession is often referred to a type of sickness, hence in Arabic, the word mass (possession) is used to refer to junoon (insanity). A jinn may possess a human based on several reasons, with the vast majority through sihr and al-&#8216;Ayn. However, it is necessary for the afflicted person to seek closeness to All\u0101h (SWT) by means which is prescribed in the Shar\u012b&#8217;ah and abstain from that which is not from the Deen. Mental health issues can be derived from worries and anxiety that one may experience as part of everyday life. Majority of patients can either overcome it or learn to live with such problems, therefore it is necessary to get diagnosed early. Serious mental health issues can include schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and panic disorder, which are divided into groups called either \u2018neurotic\u2019 or \u2018psychotic\u2019 symptoms. Neurotic symptoms covers emotional experiences such as anxiety or depression. Whereas \u2018psychotic\u2019 often refers to symptoms that interfere with a person\u2019s own perception of reality which may include episodes of hallucinations and hearing things.
